That's a whole other matter. High heels, and stairs to the altar.

I wore a really nice dress with high heels for my godchild's 15th birthday celebration. First time in heels in like years (can't remember when).

I had *no* idea that I was going to be asked to do a reading.

Needless to say, I worried more about falling flat on my face on the way down the stairs after the reading then I did on my way to doing the reading. And in a dress (again it had been a while since I had a dress on).

Next time ... pantaloons baby. And flats.

(And a clarification ... I stopped wearing heels because of my back. And the heels I had on I was afraid that they'd slip. I've had one too many times where the floor just didn't like the heel.).

Thats easy to avoid - just take your shoes off in church! I've done it for years, coming before my God naked and unprotected, knowing that I have nothing to fear.

my Bishop made fun of me because I rocked high heels whilst pregnant. and i'm taller than him with my heels on. made for an awkward moment when i went up for Communion (i receive on the tongue).

So... one time in some class someone said something about girls and high heels. I don't remember what it was but I remember that all us girls were really angered by it. So for the next class we all wore skirts and VERY high heels. There was not much of a class that day.
