MargaretTeresa
Interesting... Praying for all those involved with this. I didn't really much see anything by Fr Corapi before the falling out, but definitely heard about the falling out. Oi.

littleflower+JMJ
why are you posting this Mortify? This is a really old video that came out months ago and to bringing it all back is doing no service or good to the faithful. It deserves no place here to continue to speculate or suggest otherwise. I mean who really wants to be reminded again of a scandal that has already been closed by the Church? We can pray but leave the links, videos and spreading of the message of those who themselves visit his website to get it themselves on their own. You don't need to help anyone out and bring it here. Its old news, nothing has changed since it was first posted and its really quite unnecessary to rehash everything when some people are still trying to find closure or still confused about it all. I pray that God will change hearts but until then, lets not bring back "the garbage"
Lilllabettt
Honestly, I think the "don't talk about it" angle can get somewhat overblown. This is not a private matter ... the people involved on both "sides' have made it very, very public. There are families who don't discuss their various Elephants in the Room, but they have never struck me as particularly healthy. People who are "still trying to find closure or still confused" may actually want to talk about it and the whole "this matter is closed" shtick is not very supportive. I agree there is a fine line in all of this. It can get unsavory and toxic fast. I guess I'm just in general against there being "taboo" subjects in our phamily. [/quote] In my experience it is not healthy. When it comes down to it, it always come down to choosing sides to be obedient or disobedient to the Church. In other words there's nothing left to talk about. The ones who want to "talk about it" are usually the ones insulting the Church, calling the Bishops corrupt and ppl have already made up their mind. There are some things that the Mother Church knows best about. Everything has already been decided and not up for discussion. To do otherwise will only provide more scandal than what has already occurred.
BigJon16
I thought it interesting that in the end, he did say to love the church. It's not like hes starting a cult or something. Yea, "the black sheep dog" is kinda freaky, but so what? He knows that he's done wrong, and he's just trying to comfort his "fans". Its not like he's using his "renown" to turn people away from the church. So whats so bad about talking about it? Not like anyone here is actually gonna start ranting about "corrupted bishops, and church scandal". If they do, then we have people on here who can handle it. Who will either pose a counter desussion, or the mods will step in with some sort of action. And who on here wold actually believe that ranting fool anyway? In my pesonal experience, living in a highly desfunctional family, I feel that if we talked about things more than we would be less dysfuntional. And the whole "hush hush" vibe Im feeling from here makes me feel like I cant talk about my own personal problems with you guys. It seems like you'd just be like "Im praying!" and then I wouldnt get any practical nourishment that I can apply immediately. Why talk to a priest about a problem if all he's going to offer you is prayer? Now was that such a harmfull post?
homeschoolmom
I honestly don't see the point in posting this video again. If beating dead horses is your thing, have at it, I guess.
