MissScripture
My brother and his family are in NYC and they felt it. He thought it was a truck driving past, at first. They are all okay.
OnlySunshine
My grandparents live on the southwestern tip of North Carolina, so I hope that they weren't affected. My mom hasn't tried to get in touch with them or anything, but she thought it might have hit them for some reason. Prayers that everyone is OK. Aloysius
I felt it in Pennsylvania, I'm a bit East of Pittsburgh. didn't know what it was, a little later someone texted me and said there was an earthquake in Pittsburgh which freaked me out, but I turned on the news and saw it was in Virginia and it wasn't a big deal at all. Sounds like all the evacuations were just being overly cautious, no evidence of injuries or any serious structural damage. but yeah, if you didn't feel it, you might've just not noticed it. it shook my house a bit, but I just thought it might be the garage door goin crazy or something. penguin31
Driving up a parking structure in the middle of an earthquake is a very interesting experience.
cmaD2006
yep felt it in south jersey ... well my coworkers in the office did. A number of us were traveling back into the office ... so in my coworker's Lexus we felt nothing. But ... the car next to us must have. We had just heard about the earthquake being centered in VA, and the driver of the car next to us said "did you just feel the earthquake"; we said "the earthquake happened in VA" completely ignorant of what just happened in the area. Brother Adam
Apparently they showed a city cam shaking here in Steubenville, Ohio, however I did not feel anything. I may have still been on the road at that time though.
