Hello, my name is Rachel, I'm new here. I recently went through the church RCIA program, and I still don't know what a "Catholic apologetic" is. Can one of you guys tell me? Thanks for the help!

i dont know that "Catholic apologetic" is a correct term.......however, apologetics is the art of showing truth to protestants mainly, but pretty much anyone who isnt Catholic.....im sure someone else on this board can come up with a more eloquent definition but thats the jist of it

btw.....a person who uses apologetics would be known as an apologist hehe

The word apologetics comes from the Greek work 'apologia', which means a verbal defense, an explanation, an answer, a reply, etc.. So basically Catholic apologetics is explaining and defending the Catholic Faith.

God bless.
