dUSt
OK, I have a confession to make... I do web development for a very large company for a living (pays a lot less than it sounds). I live in in the web world. I specialize in design, style, usability, social networking, search engine optimization, etc. OK, so now the confession.. For the past 7+ years, I have not attempted to promote phatmass, or optimize phatmass for search engines. Why? Well, frankly, I'm not happy with it yet. haha... The Phorum is amazing, but I've always had a dream of making the rest of the site more useful and functional, with REAL content that people want... I still plan on doing a lot of things, so therefore, have never really considered phatmass "finished"... and in turn, have never launched any type of marketing or traffic campaign... So, I guess this is good and bad. All of phatmass' traffic up to this point has truly been organic, word of mouth, dumb luck I guess. So, just letting you guys know. The changes you see happening are me trying to finally get my act together, and "finishing" phatmass--at which point, I will apply my full range of knowledge and resources I've learned over the years to actually "promote" phatmass... Get ready! All of you are truly part of the phoundation!
Brother Adam
Can't wait. I'm in the same boat with CO. I am now working on partnering with another website that does catechist formation to try to make it into a powerhouse of projects and ideas. dUSt
I'm in the same boat with CO. I am now working on partnering with another website that does catechist formation to try to make it into a powerhouse of projects and ideas.
If you want to duplicate any content on phatmass, let me know. I got permission from cuf.org to reprint some articles on phatmass. See example: http://www.phatmass.com/apologetics/taking-god-at-his-word-a-catholic-understanding-of-biblical-inerrancy/ Notice the blue box at the bottom for the "credit". I plan on doing something similar with other websites and content providers. I'm especially gonna try to get articles that are awesomely written, but poorly formatted and hard to read, or on smaller sites that always seems to have broken URLs. Tired of making link directories of great articles only to have them disappear or break.
It is similar, but I don't think it is Comic Sans. (I have more faith in Mr. Dust than that.) Compare: http://en.wikipedia....Comic_Sans1.png -the ascender of the d -the slant of the line within the e (sorry, I don't know the typographical term) -the serif at the top of the s (lack thereof in the dusty font) Edited August 17, 2011 by USAirwaysIHS
eustace scrubb
Once this happens, can we PLEASE have a Chastity or Sexuality Forum??? Btw the reason people were slow to use it was because 1) the password didn't work at first and 2) opening up about the subject can be hard. penguin31
I always wanted to see lorem ipsum turned into a rap. And a T-Shirt. And a Wallpaper. And a street address in England. Should be interesting to watch PM finally emerge from Beta Edited August 17, 2011 by penguin31
