As far as Palin goes, if someone quits their job as governor midway through the term for whatever reason, he or she has absolutely no business running for President. There is more to politics than being anti-abortion.

Do you actually know anything about her resignation or why she resigned? http://en.wikipedia...._of_Sarah_Palin

It was actually a pretty smart move both for her personally and for the health of the State of Alaska government.

Edit: BTW... I live in Alaska...

she resigned because the ethics lawsuits against her were too expensive?? yeah that is just greeeeeeeat. I wont argue with you though, palin stepping down as governor of alaska was probably the best thing she did.

lol, she then said that staying as a governor would be a "quitter's move" ?? wow, i wonder how good she is at poker?

You know it really amazes me at the number of people that have bought into the personal attacks made against both Bachman and Palin by the media. As I read the posts here I see those personal attacks repeated. Attack their records and their stands on issues.

For some reason the media seems to attack women running for political office in very personal ways. Looks what tehy did to Hillary. What they have put Sarah Palin through is beyond belief. They are just getting started on Bachman but if the David Gregory interview is any indication they are coming at her hard. None of these women have said anything that compares to the statements made by Biden. But Biden gets a pass every time and is even held up as wise statesman. It is sexist.

Biden is equally terrible as Bachmann...well, or at least Palin. Are you really confused about Joe Biden not being brought up in a thread about female political candidates?

Also, just because the MSM says it doesn't mean it's automatically false. And for the record
"None of these women have said anything that compares to the statements made by Biden."
I could point out some doozies that all three of these women have said.

To add to my comments, as Catholics we really need to be watchful that we do not fall into the trap of these personal attacks on people even when it seems that everyone is doing it. We really need to be careful and learn to recognize this for what it is. Discuss issues don't attack people that you do not actually know. We feel like we know them but really all we know about these people is what is filtered through the media fiddler. We can still be strong witnesses to our faith when dealing with political issues.

Keep in mind that anyone with a strong faith will be vilified in the media.

No, it is just to illustrate the difference in the treatment that they receive.

Just like how Obama is picked on because he's black.

Can we please stop talking about the women candidates? I mean, c'mon, what are they gonna do if they get elected? Make the entire country sammiches?
