A Long-Awaited Prayer Has Been Answered

Some of you old timer phatmassers may remember that a few years ago I posted about my husband, R's, dental problems, problems that in the intervening years have only gotten worse. He has lost a lot of teeth, had teeth break off, had infections, etc. For many years, we've just not known what to do about the problems because, as I'm sure many of you know, anything to do with your teeth is a major financial undertaking. Not only have we not known what to do, but I've worried and worried and worried over this, especially knowing that many other health problems are caused by tooth decay (like increase of heart attacks & strokes). I've prayed and prayed, especially when a tooth has broken off, for a solution to present itself. (I've told God to let us win the lottery and I would set up a fund for other men in similar situations to get their teeth fixed. Men who are my husband's age, with no dental insurance and who aren't on Medicare/Medicaid, have no way to financially afford having their teeth fixed.)

Well, this week, my husband's father came to him and told R that he would front the money for my husband to get his teeth worked out. This is huge news for us! We're not sure what we will do at this point, if any teeth can be saved or if we will have to go the denture route or bridges or what-not. But, this news is so amazing, that I can hardly believe it.

I just wanted to share, because I know some old-timer phatmassers have been praying about this for us. Thank you for your prayers, and your patience with God on our account. I ask for your prayers for S (my husband's father) and for his conversion and holiness.

Thanks, pham.

Oh that is good news and must be a relief for you both. I really do sympathise as need quite a lot of work doing just now and even at NHS rates I simply cannot afford it and will need to wait until I am back in Carmel! I hope that whatever teeth they do set him up with settle quickly so he can soon be feeling more comfortable and confident.

You must feel so much better. This is new to me, but I'll be praying everything is worked out quickly for your hubby. He's ecstatic, I bet.

Will do. Fatten him up between now and then. My mom lost a bunch of weight when having hers done.
