OnlySunshine
It was announced this summer that our parish has a young man who applied and was accepted to the seminary. He is the first young seminarian we've had in a while. Last summer, our DRE started seminary studies but he is in his 30s or 40s, so he's a relatively late vocation. This new seminarian is 18 and is going to the college seminary in the southern part of our state. Our pastor is riding with the seminarian and his parents to the seminary to ensure that he arrives safely and has a smooth transition, which I think is very special. Our pastor obviously cares a great deal about this young man's future vocation and has asked us to pray for the young man. Please pray for him as he leaves tomorrow. I was at Mass today which was the last Mass that the young man was acting as an acolyte. We are really going to miss him, but we know he will be in good hands. May God bless him. Also, we had a seminarian visit us this summer for his 2nd assignment. He returned to the seminary last week to finish his second year in philosophy. Please pray for him as he completes his studies.
