Brown Scapular Question

Hello,

I understand that people can ask their Priest to substitute the requirement of praying the Little Office daily with the Rosary.

Would a Priest allow me to alternate different days, doing Divine Office (just morning), or Rosary, or Divine Mercy Chaplet, or Bible reading? (Just one of those on a given day, and changing it up different days.) I am not that drawn to the Rosary, and I tend to feel drawn to different prayer on different days, so I would like to differ it, and yet meet the requirement for the Scapular so that I would be delivered from eternal damnation and be delivered from Purgatory the Saturday after death. The majority of the time, I keep to reading the New Testament each night.

Also, what if I'm tired or busy and don't meet any of the above. Then what happens to the promise of the scapular? Is the promise re-instated once I get back into routine? Do I need to confess it?

No need to confess it. Just do your best. Prayer gets it easier the more we habituate ourselves to it.
