Era Might
Today I discovered the amesomeness of washing my clothes by hand. Who knew our hands could actually be used. This day I say Never Again! to laundry machines. Edited August 4, 2011 by Era Might

CatherineM
Buy a brand new plumbing plunger. They are the best for agitating laundry in tub or 5 gallon bucked. Wringing out laundry is hard, great for the forearms, but done much faster in one of those mop wringers. Buy one of those roll around mop buckets, and you have wash tub and wringer all in one. I just have a small bucket in the tub.

I never use the air conditioner. The only bad thing about heat is that your clothes get sweaty. If we could walk around naked it'd be a lot easier to go without air conditioning. I dropped roach-killing bombs a few weeks back, and it got rid of the roaches, but suddenly tiny lizards have been popping up everywhere. I think maybe the roaches weren't killed, they just mutated into lizards.
Laudate_Dominum
I'm with you on this Era. Always have been. Admittedly I'm less with you today than I would have been at earlier points in my life. A compelling argument for A/C: wife pregnant during a hot summer. A compelling argument for washing machines: cloth diapering.
