dominicansoul
our priest got these pew cards that have the different responses in them, and every week after Mass is over, but not officially over (before the final blessing, but after the reflection after Communion is over), he's been going through them. most people have been staying.
this is how one of the parishes I attend does it. They've already started using some of the changed prayers and responses, and the choir has somehow fitted all the new wording into an old "Gloria" Mass part hymn
faithcecelia
I have the new weekday to a T now, but will be totally thrown by the full Sunday Mass as I attend an Ordinariate Mass at present, which is different again! But thats razzle dazzle, a big part of the Church's beauty is her diversity.

MissScripture
At the Cathedral here, and I think at the other parishes, as well, they are using the new musical settings starting this weekend. Although, the parish we went to last weekend did them all in Latin, anyway, so Idk that they need to worry about it.
Groo the Wanderer
started singing the new Gloria, Memorial Acclamation, Sanctus, and Amen today. Not bad. Got the people to look at the pew cards that have been sitting mostly idle for a month... :-)

dominicansoul
i might be going back to play the organ for a parish i used to play at years ago... the parish priest contacted me to say all his whacked out choirs didn't want to change the music (which was horrible) and conform to the new changes so they quit... (ok, ok, Father didn't say "whacked out" choirs, but what he said can be interpreted to mean "whacked out" choirs) ...i'm going there to blow the stain-glassed windows out with the new pipe organ..... newly translated Roman Missal/Songbook in hand

OnlySunshine
Got a head start on the Gloria... we need it. 36 days 5 Sundays
Our parish choir director has been teaching the whole congregation before Mass how to sing the new prayers. The Great Amen is pretty easy, but the Holy, Holy, Holy is a little difficult. We haven't been taught the Gloria translation yet, though, from the looks of it, I think it's going to be the most difficult. I'm so used to the current translation that remembering to change the verses is going to be a chore and a half. When you memorized something after 28+ years of being a Catholic, the change up is rough!

At our church we are currently praying the construction across the parking lot doesn't ruin the beautiful stained glass windows they had put in just a few years ago while doing renovations. But during daily Mass on Tuesday, the whole building shook from the construction.

homeschoolmom
We've been using the new Gloria for a couple of weeks. That's all we're allowed to use (I believe) until Advent. We've been having little lessons before Mass, though.
Noel's angel
We've been using the new peoples' parts for over a month now and it has gone very smoothly. We've also had to deal with postural changes which, for the first few weeks, left a lot of people like jack-in-the-boxes. We still get a lot of people responding 'and also with you' out of habit, but it's going quite well.
MissScripture
We got pew cards! And Father said he is going to be talking about it a little bit in every homily from now until we start using them.
