Are there any characters from either the Old or New Testament, of your or the opposite sex who catches your attention and makes you want to be more like them and why?

If we have several can we do them on seperate posts so more have a chance of mentioning theirs.

Here we go, I'll start.

I want to be like Enoch.

The scriptures tell us 'Enoch walked with God, then he was no more because God took him'.

This comes just halfway through the list of the Patriarchs after the Flood, All the others walk with God then die, but Enoch was taken by God.

Esther: She's one of my favorites. When I was little, I always thought it was cool that she saved her people!

Andrew: I always liked Andrew. My mom has this book on the Apostles (full painting of each disciple, then a discription of the apostle and a story about how the artist found the model), and it said Andrew was always bringing people to Jesus. I like that, and that's what I want to do with my life!

I want to be like Jacob too, well I think I am in a way and chose my new name to reflect it. I want to be permanantly injured, marked, after my wrestle with God - I believe no one can truely work at their faith (the wrestling match) without it changing them forever.

Job's wife, his family, his servants, his livestock...

I've never really thought of it. I mean there's Jesus obviously, for obvious reasons. But other than that, I really don't know at the moment...
