Only two months left until the wedding, and now with his ring purchased I suddenly feel like it's right around the corner!

Any other wedding planning going on around here??

I remember when we bought my hubby's ring. We bought it at the same place that fixed my ring after I very traumatically lost my diamond, and then found it three days later. I love Catholics. The jeweler and his wife were praying to St. Anthony for me.
But back on topic, it looks nice! Did hubby help pick it out, or did you do it since he (I'm guessing) picked out your ring?

Daniel and I bought each other's rings last week... we bought them online and they were way too big. But better too big than too small!!! Do you have your invitations ready yet? That's my current project.

I made our rings. Picked up a couple of wax blanks, and did some carving with dental tools. The gold for mine was my dad and grandfather's wedding rings, and I made a round of pawn shops to find some broken rings for the gold for my husband's. They end up with stuff that has been cut off in ER's or that has lost it's stone. I made sure that all were at least 50 years old. You can tell by the kind of mounts. I didn't want the chance of our rings being made out of blood gold. Took the gold and wax to a jeweler to do the smelting.

I helped him pick it out but he was clear about what he wanted, but I picked out both my engagement and wedding rings.

That's cool -- I met a guy last year who had made his and his wife's ring and they look almost exactly like that.

His ring looks just like my dad's! I spent many, many nights after dinner as a kid watching him spin it on the table for my entertainment. :) God bless you as you finalize your plans! I'm a bridesmaid for a friend's ceremony in October 2012, and we're all so antsy for it!
