Remembering Sins As Leaving The Confessional?

So after mass today i went to confession with the priest. It wasn't a normal confession time but I asked him if he could hear my confession after mass. So we did the confession in the room he changes in. We did the confession and as i was leaving out the door, I remember a sin I forgot to confess. I right down all my sins when going to confession so i don;t forget them but this one happened this morning i i didn't write it down prior to the confession. anyways my question is, should i have turned around since i wasn't completely gone from the room and told the priest the sin or was it ok to leave and mention it at the next confession and can i receive communion on sunday?

You're good to go. Just mention the sin next time you go to confession. You were not deliberately withholding your sin at the time of confession, so it was forgiven within that same confession.
