I was being sincere. I come from a rather large family and extended family, mostly with women. At any moment when I was growing up, there was me, my dad, and about 8 or 9 girls in my house. I'm very sensitive to women's issues in this regard and, since you mentioned that you were feeling "sensitive" earlier, I was going to offer you my prayers if it were the case.

I'm sorry if I came off as disrespectful. Honestly, I was trying to be nice...

Sorry big sis. This might help:

(Whenever I have a bad day, I watch this 4 or 5 times and it typically lightens the load a little. Then I pour a tall glass of Bushmill's and let the games begin :) )

I don't think there's anything wrong with that. The Church teaches that it's wrong to bully homosexuals, or anyone for that matter. The point of the "It gets better" project was to help convince teens that they didn't need to commit suicide because they were bullied for being gay. "If you don't give power to the words that people throw at you to hurt you, they don't hurt you anymore, and you actually have power over those people." That's a solid anti-bullying message. Personally I feel that it's more important to get people to a place where they aren't suicidal before you explain why homosexual behavior is immoral.

I wanna watch that when I'm on an able computer. I heard what the gist is supposed to be and find it very moving and uplifting. People shouldn't be treated like croutons period, which happens more frequently during school age. I hope the video sticks to that premise.

I hope there are videos about bullying in general that give a message of hope to the bullied. Specific categories are probably helpful like overweight, etc...

I don't have sound on this 'puter, but I'll come back to this when I do.

I made an It Gets Better video but never posted it (being on camera is not for me, rofl). We're all picked on for something. No one should ever be bullied, period, regardless of the issue. And GLBT people are deserving of every drop of respect that straight people are. It's not about religion or politics. It's just human decency. The end.

Love people.

There is nothing wrong with the video, it is a very positive message. Catholics are not bigoted or homophobic. If there is anyone who calls himself Catholic and calls a person with homosexuality names or bullies them, there is a place for them too - its called the confessional. There is nothing wrong with a homosexual teen other than the same thing that is wrong with you and me, and dUSt, and the Pope. Original sin. Without God's mercy and forgiveness, without his grace, we basically all smell of elderberries. We all have hang ups, we're all lost without Him. Grace though can perfect our fallen human nature from anything that gets between us and God. Whether that is stealing, anger, lust, whatever. Through grace we can cut the strong emotional ties we have to our sin, we can let go from that slavery and cling to the cross, and through the cross be free to live as children of God. His grace is sufficient.
