homeschoolmom
I agree that the farther out you go, though, you start finding some rather... interesting parishes.
I would say that's a pretty weird comment. The most "interesting" parishes that *I* know of are right in Mpls. proper. In fact, I can think of great and horrible parishes both downtown and out in the 'burbs. It just depends.

Jaime
It's hot here right now. We also have stupid politicians. But we have the Minnesota Twins. And good, bad or hurt, I love these boys!! If you move here don't be noisy, clean up after yourself and don't cause any trouble and you'll get along just fine. Some things you'll need to know

We don't eat casserole. We eat hot dish.
We have caramel rolls
It's a rubber binder.

It's not that we aren't interested in you, we just don't interfere.
Is "trapper keeper" unique to Minnesota, too? I'm the sort of person who dislikes having someone ask them if they need help at the store. And if it happens multiple times, I want to just say, "JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" But really, we are very friendly. We just don't want to be all up in your business (for the most part...minus some small-town busybodies. But you really won't have that in Mpls.)
Yeah, I'm always so tempted to ask if I look like a shoplifter. But if a tornado destroys your barn, the whole town will show up the next day to help rebuild it. When the tornado went through Mpls a couple months ago, there was not only no looting, but entire neighborhoods turned out to help with the clean up/recovery. You might not have any clue who your neighbors are, but they will bend over backwards to help you when you're in need.
Ash Wednesday
I know of someone who's working in Minnesota for the Wild. It must not be all that bad.
