Do you know where to find the invitatory in christian prayer? {MY MOM SAYS SHE MIGHT GET ME ONE OF THE SET SOON, AND JUST BUILD UP FROM THERE. or just get a new St.Joe's Guide. prolly the latter. I'll be happy as a clam either way. :D}

I used to own a Christian Prayer published by the FSP, but I gave that away to a friend of mine when she entered with them. I now have my old 4 volume set, which I used in the convent... i cherish it, but sadly, I don't pray it like I should :(

I need a refresher course ..., I mean, like I said, I knew where everything was, was tedious of where I placed my ribbons, even made sure to color-coordinate the sections and I knew which chant to use for every antiphon and psalm ... *sigh* man, I was a totally different person cos out here in the world, I'm clueless now...i guess I need to find someone to pray it with me ... i need community to pray the LOTH, i seriously can't do it on my own ...

The invitiatory is on pages 686-688 (this might be another good page to mark with a ribbon).

The antiphons depend on the time of year and are usually found at the beginning of the day's morning prayer. For feast days, it might be in the feast day section (1190s) and for special seasons, it's on 686-687.

You say the antiphon between each "section" of the psalm (Psalm 95, on page 688, or I have a card that lists like 3 more possibles).

The universalis websiteis pretty helpful since it has all the hours and the Mass Readings, plus a Calendar for different places, and it also says at the top of the page if it is a feast day and who for! And it also can remind you of which week it is too.

Ok, St.Joseph's Guide to the rescue. Lisa, you must have a different copy than I. 686-688 is one on the weeks.
