It's HOT today. Even though the temperature in the part of Chicago where I live (near Lake Michigan) is not as high as it is in other places in the U.S.--or even Chicago--the humidity makes it feel like it's 100 degrees F.

Are you doing anything special to keep cool today?

If you are lucky enough to live somewhere where it is not incredibly hot today, do you have suggestions for others on how to keep cool?

I you live somewhere that uses Celsius instead of Fahrenheit, please translate your local temperature to Fahrenheit for those of us in the U.S. If a U.S. Phatmasser reads in your post that it is 28 degrees where you live, we will assume that you are playing in the snow or drinking hot chocolate by the fire. If you think that any U.S. Phatmasser who lives in an area where it is (or feels) like it is 100 degrees Fahrenheit is going to go to the trouble to look up how to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit you will be sadly disappointed. It was enough that I looked up how to spell "Fahrenheit" and discovered that it has an "h." :joecool:

When it gets hot here (not many air conditioners here), I freeze wet wash rags. I throw them on my husband's head and neck.

i work in an air conditioned building, and go home to an air conditioned house.

I don't know how I will survive.

it's down to the upper 80s today instead of the upper 90s... that makes a 10 degree difference in my house too. instead of being 90 in my house, it's 80. yay!

I've been in the basement of the university library. The air conditioning is running, and is much nicer than my apartment.

I am hiding in the basement. Per usual. With a very cold beverage and a little fan blowing like a small hurricane.
