Hutterites

I'm curious why its considered a cult. And that is a serious question, because I have virtually no knowledge of the Hutterites.

I've always pictured them somewhat like the Amish, though I could be wrong. :idontknow:

The Amish don't have mutli-million dollar farm equipment.

We were never taught that as a region when I was in school. These were the regions we were taught (at a school in Minnesota, no less. :| ):

Again, their buying power, especially for land, prevents the young people form being able to start up there own farming operations.

Yeah, that's pretty true. I wouldn't put *all* the blame on the Hutterites, though.

Ok, like MS, I thought they were like the Amish, so can someone tell me their cult like qualities, cause the Amish aren't a cult to me.

In a town that is not the county, all the business rely on ag. As Hutterites take over previous family farms, the clientale goes away and is not replaced.
