sixpence
So I have a farmshare, and every week, without fail, I receive a pile of kale! Do any of you eat this stuff? How do you make it taste good?? I have been cooking it with some butter... but this is getting boring. Help?
MissyP89
KALE IS DISGUSTING. My Grandma, bless her, tries to make kale every Christmas Eve, and only Christmas Eve. Keyword being tries. And in the winter her house is all shut up and like, 86 degrees with the 10 gallon pot of kale simmering on the stove. The whole house reeks of the stuff. At the same time, though, I don't know what I'd do if she didn't make it. My holiday experience would be incomplete!

Basilisa Marie
allrecipes.com has never failed me yet. Try doing an ingredient search for kale.
she_who_is_not
I eat kale everyday and loooove it! Here is my favorite recipe: Saute in butter with garlic til wilted. Sprinkle a liberal amount of sea salt on top. Inhale. I also put it on pizza like spinach. Kale chips are also delish but involve a lot of oil. Vincent Vega
Sweet dancing Moses. Any time we try to have a real discussion around here, people go tangential like a sapling on cocaine and throw around more personal attacks than a civil war soldier with Tourette's having his arm amputated. But we try to have one single unfocused and uncivil discussion - with a springboard of KALE of all things - and you people write a novel about the stupid leafy green. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU ALL!? Luigi
I have had it way up past my arse with you guys and your smarmy civilized discussions! I have held my tongue and bit my lip in an effort NOT to lambast your puny, uncritical opinions on kale! Well, no more Mr. Nice Guy! The gloves are coming off, the flamethrower is set on High, and mud WILL be flung tonight! Kale - just for your information, because I know you guys don't know anything about it - has sustained billions of people for millions of generations! Kale is the one, true green leafy vegetable! If you don't like it, you can freakin' well LEAF IT ALONE! Those who have abandoned kale because they cannot appreciate its simplicity and simultaneous complexity are the same people who have led this country down the primrose path of innovation to mayhem, wrack, and ruin! AND I JUST HOPE YOU'RE REAL PROUD OF YOURSELVES FOR THAT, TOO! Is that uncivilized and unfocused enough, or do I have to get nastier to get this thread properly closed by the so-called "mods"?
