faithcecelia
I have been trying to tell people about the way the new priest here has said Mass facing away from the congregation. I'm happy explaining about him leading us in prayer etc and it all makes sense I think, but it would be helpful to know the actual term for the priest saying it facing this way. Can someone help me out, please? Thanks

MargaretTeresa
At our 5 pm Mass at school, Fr Joe does the Eucharistic Liturgy ad orientem. It is also referred to as ad deum. However, when I go to regular Mass during the week, it's always done so he faces us. I love the ad deum Mass. It just seems more... somber. And intimate. my Jesus times.
