MissScripture
I only learned that one two months ago when the power went out and I tried brushing my teeth after going to the bathroom. I'm closer to the iron range than you... our water is super hard... we have a water softener for most things, and then another fiddler for drinking. The water still turns our whites grey very quickly, and we generally fiddler the water though a brita fiddler, again, for good measure. Water straight from the well tastes like Iron, but is oh so cold.
We always had a water softner, too. Ours probably wasn't NEARLY as iron-y as yours, since that was the only thing we had, no other fiddlers. But after we got put on City water, my mom had anemia problems, and I think I might have, too, but mine was never officially diagnosed. But in the spring, when my parents haven't used the well all winter, they have to let the well empty out before using the water for sprinklers, because otherwise it turns anything it hits orange. It almost looks like tang coming out of the hose.

My dog's outside bowl gets water straight from the well, and the iron encrusts the plastic of the bucket. It looks like its growing things. missionseeker
The flute takes more air than Trumpet/Trombone/French Horn/Clarinet/ Oboe/ Sax etc, because half the air doesn't even make it into the instrument! Shows how much you know about wind instruments... Have you ever even tried to play the flute? I guarantee you'll be light headed momentarily. (And yes, I have played trumpet and clarinet, fiddled on trombone and sax).
she's definitely right here.
I was told by my band director in high school that she had read a study that, for whatever, reason, people who play clarinet can hold notes the longest on average. (That doesn't mean they use the most air, though) And sax players have the shortest life span on average. I think they were different studies...
glead I don't play sax. I ran 9 minutes straight, walk 1 minute x 3 this morning! This is the fourth week. Almost half way there.
Deus te Amat
So, fourth week down... half way there! Yay! Also, running in 90 percent humidity smells of elderberries. I don't care if it's only 70 degrees out, it is painful. I don't know how I'll manage it back in the land of 107+ degree highs.

Deus te Amat
So, I was supposed to finish the program on Saturday, but I was beginning to fall behind due to orientation, and then I realized that there was no way I was going to run before taking the GRE on Saturday, so yesterday, I pushed myself AND RAN FOR 30 MINUTES STRAIGHT! I finished.
