Long-Term Volunteer Issues

Well, I got an email today from the executive director of the L'Arche Harbor House near me stating that they do not have any open positions available at this present time. It was suggested that I look into applying to a different L'Arche and I looked online. The closest one is 6 hours away and in another state. I'm considering it, but it's in a known hurricane zone. With hurricane season already started and tropical depressions forming, I'm worried that I may be there when a bad one hits. I know I probably need to trust God, but I can't help but wonder.

I'm also looking into the other opportunities in other states like LAMP in New York and the like. I'm planning to start a novena to St. Frances Xavier Cabrini and/or St. Therese of Lisieux and I would appreciate any prayers.
