Ol' Jack Chick

Most of the lies he tells are so outrageous that one has to wonder how he came up with them! I'm not a creative enough liar to think up that sort of carp! Does he really believe all that himself? But then again, I suppose you can make yourself believe something if say it enough.

I've wondered that myself. I found an article once online by a Catholic apologist who met Jack Chick and talked with him and according to the article Chick used the same lies in their conversation that he uses in his comics, so if he doesn't believe them he sure propigates them.

I'm planning on doing a parody of "The Last Rites" within a few weeks wherein Jack Chick goes before the Judgment seat, gets lectured on all the false, heretical Protestant doctrines he believes, then gets sent to hell. Right after I finish finals then draw James White in an Arizona Cardinals uniform.

You know, I actually don't think he really does believe what he says. His crony, the so-called "Father" Rivera (who was actually never a priest) was proven to be a con artist who got sued all the time. Jack Chick, I have read, is a recluse who refuses to do interviews. Personally, I don't think he is really a Christian at all, and he knows it. I don't think he loves Jesus. I think he is trying to draw souls away from God.

God bless.

Hananiah, that is hilarious.
MrsFrozen, of course he is not a Christian. He is a heretic which, by definition, is not Christian. I guess this could be said for other heretics as well, but he is very explicitly anti-Christian whereas other heretics are only implicitly anti-Christian, not to be confused with implicitly Baptized by Desire

Brother Adam

I would just want Catholics to understand that you can't paint all Protestants with a Jack Chick brush. He is out of his mind, and frankly wouldn't even be considered Christian by many Protestant sects. He is a criminal.

On another un-mentioned site, Jack Chick comics has been made equal to the "Word of God" now??

Peace of Christ, Ken

Hi, Brother Adam.. I know a lot of Protestants, and while many do seem to have a little anti-Catholicism in their blood, I agree, they are not Jack Chicks! He's insane. I pity anyone who would believe the junk he publishes.

God bless. :)

Hi, Amarkich.. What I meant is that he is consciously anti-Christian. I think all this carp is probably a joke to him!

God bless. :)

I've been saying the same thing for a long time... the man cannot possibly believe in God and lie like he does.

anti-Catholicism is big business, with over a billion Catholics, and some of the ignorant of their own faith, that's a lot of money you can get if you pull people away from the Church.

MrsFrozen, yeah he truly is crazy. It's pretty pitiful. I do not know if you have looked at his website, but in response to the claim that "The only Christians were Catholics until the 1500s", he says, "This is not true; the true Christians fled from the Church into the mountains"!
