okay - say you have a criticism of, oh i don't know, Socrates. :saint:

you are allowed, on this phorum, to criticize what he has said, the positions he has a subject, etc... (for example) "Socrates, I think your statement is at the height of lunacy"

you are not allowed, on this phorum, to say (for example): "Socrates you are an idiot and a lunatic"

same thing with politicians.

Okay.

Well, I've noticed that some people such as, oh I don't know, Socrates, make personal statements that attack or otherwise impugn other people, and then go hide behind the Catechism, the Church and everything that single Republican since Reagan has ever said.

just a reminder - the phorum guidelines still apply, whether a politician is perusing these boards or not.

specifically, the rule against personal attacks. people have been warned for breaking this rule in the past when it came to their feelings about different politicians.
I'm sorry.

I didn't mean to make this a personal attack-I meant to convey my feelings about her lack of electability. I however realize that I went out of bounds by using the word "flake" in the subscript of the title. Once again, I apologize.

So, taking the definition of "flake the tgoldson provided," you feel that her campaign, and her chances of being elected, are "flakey" in the sense that they cannot be relied upon?

If she is so unelectable, why do people feel the need to beesh about her all the time?
Because she's annoying.

(Can I say that? Should I reword to say "I find the visage she presents on my television screen whilst campaigning to be deleterious to the senses?")

nice $1 words, there.

i think her personality is a little annoying - but i find the same to be true of most of the GOP field right now.

I like that play on words, but that wasn't what I was going for. I was really just trying to be facetious by quoting Chris Wallace. However, I know realize that I crossed the line.

I think Michelle Bauchman is right on some of the issues, but beyond that, she's a danger to the Republican Party. She's not electable, and I think the media is running a pump and dump scheme with her. Someone who believes in teaching 6 day creationism in public schools can't make it through the general election.
I take the heretical stance that it's not the President's job to dictate what's taught in public schools. Most public school textbooks are crap anyway.

School curriculum should be determined at the local district level, rather than dictated from on high by the federal government, which, if I recall correctly was Bachman's stance on the issue.
