kujo
The one thing I like about the Tea Party is that it's making a tiny dent in the idea that we only have Republicans and Democrats.
...yeah, in the sense that the Tea Party is comprised entirely of Republicans & Libertarians!

homeschoolmom
There was a Nightline piece on her husband's practice last night. She'll be done before summer's over. http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/michele-bachmann-exclusive-pray-gay-candidates-clinic/story?id=14048691

Did you just start hearing the song that never ends? On Bachmann back to our original discussions...former IRS lawyer, tries to say how much she hates the IRS. Family farm gets government subsidies, she's against "big government" subsidies. Red's already shown how she's gonna get it over her husband's de-gaying practices. Of course there's also the time she ran screaming from a bathroom at a town hall meeting she was doing poorly at, claiming she had been confronted and trapped by lesbians. Or when she trumpeted Canada's lack of a stimulus plan in reducing unemployment after Stephen Harper's government had enacted one. Or at a stop in New Hampshire, she put the battle of Lexington and Concord in New Hampshire instead of Massachusetts. Or when she refused to fill out the Census in 2010. Edit: Bachmann is currently leading in the GOP race in Iowa. Edited July 12, 2011 by BG45
Adrestia
just a reminder - the phorum guidelines still apply, whether a politician is perusing these boards or not. specifically, the rule against personal attacks. people have been warned for breaking this rule in the past when it came to their feelings about different politicians.
I don't mean to be difficult, but is attacking a position held by a politician or criticizing the chance that a politician's campaign will be successful considered a personal attack? Or is this warning just about Bachmann being called a "flake" again?

She does seem eccentric and has shown that she can appear, physically, as though she was crazy. Kinda reminds me of the Joker (the Jack Nicholson portrayal). In any case, I don't think it's a big deal, not nearly as derogatory or mean-spirited as some of the words that are used around here to refer to Democrats or, say, homosexuals.
