havok579257
I know if you forget a mortal sin in confession then your sin is still forgiven and you just need to mention it at your next confession. although the question i have is what if after confession you realize something you were doing was a sin. now you didn't forget to confess it since you just realized it was sinful. you never realized it in any of the confessions before or previous examination of conscious's. so is the sin still forgiven and are you allowed to take communion or do you need to go back to confession before you take communion? if you took communion would that be considered taking communion while in a state of mortal sin? [/quote] Part of a mortal sin is that you have knowledge it is a sin and commit it anyway. If you didn't know it was a sin, relax a bit. Mention it next time, and do some reading on the issue so that you are well informed about why it is a sin. We are responsible to properly inform our conscience.
