xSilverPhinx
My guess is that she probably thinks that she would have to walk on egg shells with you, since things that aren't intended to be offensive end up offending some people. The generalised ability for some religious people to become offended has become legendary (lol) and so she might be applying a stereotype here. My 2 cents. Papist
Perhaps, you being religious would be a constant reminder to her that she is living a life that she herself believes is wrong. And she foresees experiencing feeling bad about how she lives.
xSilverPhinx
You said that she texted you with "I'm not religious", but is she still a non Church going believer or a non believer?

faithcecelia
At my last proper boring office job I used to feel very left out when I could tell emails had been sent round but not to me. I later found out that they thought a Christian wouldn't have a sense of humour! Whilst I truely can understand how it is hard for you, I truely don't believe there is any malice in it. Groo the Wanderer
maybe I am just showing my old-fartness here, but how about you call instead of text so it can be discussed. You cannot hear the emotions or inflections of the voice via text. Better yet video call with Skype or something so you can talk 'face to face'. Seven77
like Groo said... sometimes texts are hard to figure out and perhaps it's nothing---or perhaps she really is religionist.
Lilllabettt
So turns out she has a boyfriend of 2 years that she wants to have stay the night every so often. She thought I would have a problem with that. Obviously its not my favorite thing, but also not really my business. So happy days, we're back on. I'm glad. Its just way more expensive living alone.
