Magnificat does great stuff, so yeah! (Also skimmed it and looks good to me at least.)

i was mistaken... ignore me. :P

on another note, if we started today, we would end on the Memorial of St. Josemaria Escriva, which I think, is totally apropos.

Ok can someone find a prayer invoking JPII and anybody else up there we can bug?
A novena to JPII that includes other saints? Or different novenas? I couldn't find the first, just people encouraging the Divine Mercy novena to be prayed with JPII in mind.

Good, who wants to participate? Two are even better than one.

I also think we should invoke the prayers of John Paul the Great as well. Any ideas for that one?

I think that's a good idea, especially since the Fr. Z article that Cam posted said that JPII is the one who ordained Corapi.

Praying is the best thing we can do right now. This really hurts and looks like a good reason to despair… but there's never any reason to despair and lose hope. To anyone who may be tempted to leave the church--- this shouldn't shake your faith like that… instead, let's pray and hope for the best. It is my conviction that father will be returned to his priestly ministry.. It's only a matter of time.

If you find any good prayer post it in the pinned thread.

That's nice. I just find his posts to be super uncharitable *most* of the time. Maybe I'm reading him wrong. Unlike you, I don't know him personally so it's very possible I just don't get his style.

I think a minority of his posts could be construed as uncharitable, and those are the one's addressing some deep abuse in the Church. I think you can split up his posts into the following: Answers about the faith, liturgical commentary on the texts themselves, liturgical commentary on the Church year, his bird watching posts :), and posts regarding liturgical abuses. In those posts he sometimes mocks the evil taking place in a liturgical abuse, but as a priest, I am not surprised he mocks evil. We mock and taunt Satan every time we carry the processional cross into Church. Oh death, where is your sting? His wit can be as stinging as Chesterton at times, but it is very rarely mean hearted. He does have a particular personality not everyone would get along with, but as today is Father's Day, let's remember to pray for him and all priest. Though he is a man of God, he is still human.
