If you look them up, you'll see many variations of the habit--but they aren't all uniform because of the vow of poverty. They keep them, I think, until they wear out! The Felician Franciscan Sisters do so much, and have so much enthusiasm. It's hard not to get involved after seeing them! But then, I'm biased--I got four years of Felicians during high school! I got to talk with one of their novices, Sr. Mary Grace, last year. Unfortunately, I caught a case of the shy and didn't ask all the questions I wanted to! Check them out, they are great! das8949
That photo, yes, but I was referring to the one where the two nuns are making altar breads together and one is in brown and the other in blue, but apart from that, their habits look identical. That's why I wondered if some were extern but they wouldn't be making altar breads anyway, so it is a puzzle and a mystery to me. There aren't any lay sisters any more or I would have guessed that. The other explanation of course is that the blue one is visiting the brown community! lol Max posted some blue nuns but their tocques don't have the 'white fingers' sticking out from under the scapular. I am very curious but like Max, couldn't find anything else posted about them. That particular community doesn't appear on the OCD website!
Hi! I wanted to let you know that I spoke to Sister Rose Moss this week. They haave found a small home and will probably start with 6 sisters. She said they have a llist of 100 contacts that will get first chances.
