Are there any Victims of the Sacred Heart in the United States? or only in Europe?
I'm pretty sure they're only in Europe. I found some really cool blog posts (with more beautiful pictures!) here: http://brautdeslammes.blogspot.com/2011/02/seigneur-le-silence-est-votre-louange-5.html
Google translate works well. :)

Sr. Mary Thomas, Charlotte, NC Katty
Sr. Maria Veritas, New York, NY Mary Anne
Sr. Mary Martha, Baton Rouge, LA Heidi
Sr. Peter Joseph, Waco, TX Faith
Sr. Josephine, Pinole, CA Jessa
Sr. Mary Isaiah, Hiram, OH Amanda
Sr. Peter Thomas, The Woodlands, TX Nicole

Sr. Maria Karol, Rolla, MO Elise
Sr. Marie Bernadette, Maybee, MI Hannah
Sr. Evangeline, Olathe, KS Mary Kate

Unfortunately there is not a way for me to determine who is who in the picture. They now have 36 novices - 18 2nd year and 18 first year.

that is a LOT of novices!

none of them kept their names. is that a rule with the DSMME? or all dominicans? bc i would  to be a dominican. and i would  to keep my name too.

Redemptoristine Nuns in Dublin, Ireland: Sr. Maria's first profession
That's (what I hope) will be my order. And its not just because of the red habit, honest. It seems I'm fated to be a scarlet woman. They have a nun making her solemn vows on the 12th of August.

The Redemptoristines -The Order of the Most Holy Redeemer- has the greatest charism in the Church -IMH opinion, of course-, only it is so very little known.

Sr. Maura made solemn vows yesterday, August 6th. You can watch the on-line recording of the ceremony here:

Shots of the celebration:

Sr. Maura receiving the image of the Most Holy Redeemer, sign or perpetual profession.

Check the Nuns blog for pictures, which will soon be up.

My sister is a Nashville Dominican, and if I remember correctly, none of the novices got the same name, though I *think* in the past a few have. However, I also would think that they would still go through the process of submitting 3 names, so it isn't an assured thing that they would get their same name, it's just one of their options.

I know there's a sister whose name was Catherine Marie and when she became a novice it became Sr. Marie Catherine. I think she was in their vocation stories booklet from two years ago.

All that white fabric! I bet the Sisters go through Shout! and laundry detergent like nobody's business! If I had to wear all white, I would probably always have stains on my habit. LOL! Thankfully, the two orders I am discerning with do not wear all white. The SsEWs have a brown scapular over top, so hopefully it will hide any stains. ;)

My sister was very pleased with herself for making it through her first meal stain free! :smile3:

Do you know how many habits the sisters have? The NDs in my diocese always seem super clean and fresh.
