Prayers For In-Laws

Please pray for my MIL, step-FIL, and Maria & Stephen, who are both 12. When they got home tonight their house was filled with propane. They put their dogs outside and opened up the house, then went out to dinner. When they got back home one of their dogs was gasping for air, and she passed away on their way to the vet. She was laying in Stephen's arms when she passed away.

I haven't spoken to them myself, so I don't know exactly what went wrong that their home got filled with propane, but please pray for them that the problem is resolved. And thank God that they weren't home to get sick themselves!

Please also pray that they find comfort now with the death of their dog. Winnie is the fourth dog they've lost in the last few months. They lost two dogs in this winter's awful snowstorms, when their fence blew down and two of them ran off. One is a lab and the other a St. Bernard, and even though they're chipped, we think someone may have just taken them. Regardless, that was the last they were seen. A few weeks after those two were lost, their other St. Bernard had to be put down when a tumor in his throat began slowly starving him. And now Winnie, one of the two dogs adopted to help them move on from the other losses, is also gone.

Please pray that this awful streak of misfortune would be gone from their lives, and please help for them to turn to God for comfort and protection from all that has happened over the past few months.
