MithLuin
Here's the story in the Buffalo newspaper, mostly relying on an interview with their cousin: http://www.buffalonews.com/city/article442210.ece it seems they were religious brothers, not priests (as Yahoo suggested). I love that the comments on both articles are so positive! It seems that the 'I hate religion and/or the Church!' crowd stays away from stories like this...for good reason. What is there bad to say about a life like this one? (Or two )
jruss
I saw this article yesterday and already sent a copy on to each of my twins! One of them is a novice in Nashville, fevently praying and hoping God will call her twin sister there as well. It is kind of funny, though, that the non-religious twin gets lots of double takes when we are visiting at the convent. I think it takes the professed sisters a few seconds to realize that Sr. A.M. is NOT in street clothes! A joke my other kids and I were hatching, but never pulled off was to have the twins switch clothes while we were visiting (when Angela was a postulant). We wanted to nun-nap our daughter for the night and leave the other one to romp around the convent overnight so we could spend more time with the daughter/sister we were so sorely missing. Can you get kicked out of the order for something like that??? We used to call our daughters womb-mates, as these friars were--now they are tomb-mates forever. Got to be good!
