Maggyie
I just watched the video again and it's stunning... equating the welfare society with abortion and gay marriage. Yep, those are the same things. He refers to people on Medicaid and food stamps as a cancer that must be removed. Apparently getting an STB doesn't require study and appreciation for Catholic social teaching?? Or Christianity? ETA I'm sorry for derailing this thread! Luigi
I LOVE the GRAPHICS! Historically speaking, there were only a handful of benevolent Catholic monarchs: St. Clothilde of France St. Radegund of France St. Edward the Confessor of England (who did such a good job of governing that he left his kingdom open to invasion by William the Conquerer) St. Ferdinand of Spain St. Louis X of France (cousin of Ferdinand of Spain) St. Elizabeth of Hungary (who had little actual hand in governing) St. Margaret of Scotland (again, little influence in governing) Henry VIII of England was given the title of Defender of the Faith (all English monarchs since then have retained the title) but... There may be others - Wenceslaus? For centuries, most European monarchs were Catholic, but most were very wide of the mark when it came to living their own Catholic life much less governing in a Catholic way. Cam42
I believe we left of with the thesis that projectors in a church are forbidden based upon a 1958 document which still has force of law. This is still the case, even though a priest has weighed in with his personal opinion, which while contrary to the actual teaching of the Church, holds no weight because it is simply his personal opinion. I think that we can go from there and pic right back up where we left off....

[/quote] Ummm, no... but then this is Phatmass. I will say that it's a lot more fun to have to hunt for your topic in the most unlikely places - proper church attire in the Life Teen thread, Catholic monarchs in the Hymns on the Wall thread, etc. At this point, I think it'd be bland & boring to find the actual topic under the actual title.
