Prayers For Josiah

Could you please pray for 2 year oldJosiah?

He has a brain tumor, and as much as they know at this point, it remains stable (which is the best they can ask for, as it is in an inoperable location). Josiah and his dad have been down with a flu-like virus this week, and although they post that Josiah is on the mend, he still isn't eating too much. Please pray that Josiah would heal well, and that he would gain his appetite back.

Please also pray that the scans he has scheduled for next week would show that his tumor is still stable, or gone completely. Please pray that he does not have any new tumors or other health issues to worry about.

Ethan, who is nine years old, is doing much better, praise God! He even got to be the grand marshal for the Relay for Life walk-a-thon, and he walked two miles. During last year's Relay for Life, he was pushed in a wheelchair, and his family did not know if he would even be alive for another year. Now he shows no evidence of disease, and is living the life that a little boy should be living!

Ten year old Alena is doing better, and only visiting her oncology clinic once a month now. Where she used to be so weakened that she could not leave her bed, she is now up and around her house and occasionally going to school! She was even able to visit Lourdes with her family at the end of April. If I remember correctly, Alena and her family are taking a holistic approach to treating her cancer, which seems to be working for them. Please pray that she would continue to improve and for the cancer to be gone from her little body. Also, please pray for Alena's younger sister, Kristine. She has a disease which affects her bladder, and while their family does not post about it often, they have indicated that it has caused their daughter pain and medical problems in the past.

Please pray for five year old Angelina, that she would stay strong. This little girl had tumors throughout her entire body as well as her bone marrow. Thank God, her bone marrow is now showing no evidence of disease! Please pray that Angelina would continue to stay strong in body, mind and soul, and that she would be able to heal completely.

Please pray for ten year oldTyler. He has been through so much in his life; though his cancer has been in remission for quite some time, he has had 45 surgeries throughout the years, and there is more to come. Thankfully, he has been in less pain that usual, according to his website. He is walking with a walker, and is moving on to the fourth grade! His mother is giving him part of her fibula for his next jaw surgery. Please pray that this time the surgery will work and his jaw will begin to heal as it should. Please pray that Tyler would find peace and comfort in Christ while he endures all that he does. Please pray for their family's financial situation, which is very precarious, and that donations would continue to help this child get the care he so desperately needs.

Thank you again for praying with me for these little ones. Please don't forget to think about them now and then and include them, as well as all the other children and adults who are living with illnesses, in your prayers. I know I get long-winded and kind of repetitive asking for prayers for these particular kids, but something about them keeps me checking up on them, and it would just be wrong of me to not extend their prayer request here. If you'd like a face to go with the names, below is a photo montage of Tyler, which is also posted at his website.
