For Cam... Flying Vs Teleportation

With teleportation

Once you get to your destination, and then you remember that you forgot something or someone, then you can always just pop back in an instant to pick it up and bring it back. Assuming of course that you can teleport with stuff. It would be quite embarrasing if you materialised without your clothes.

Einstein did when he came up with his relativity theories. Unfortunately because we're predominately mass in our material form, we can't reach that speed limit :(
I'm somewhat troubled by your in the box thinking.

The soul is immaterial (is it not?). That's what makes humans more special that other material things. All you need to do is propel the soul at the speed of light and god will take care of the rest.

What was this thread about? Oh yeah, flying VS. teleportation. I would choose teleportation, having to file a flight plan, the weather hitting you in the face along with any bugs or birds you may encounter makes flying seem a little dated next to teleportation. Instant arrival, no waiting in a landing pattern with all those big jets, speaking of jets what if you flew through one of those fuel dumps, or worse some of the other stuff those big jets dump while airborne.

On the topic, or sub-topic of Tags, I am still waiting for my " Supreme Intellectual Ruler of Phatmass " tag, I requested it several times and I have yet to receive a response?

Yeah, though all that needs to be figured out is if the soul is transferred all at once or in bits, or bytes if you like.

Hehe after all the yet unfound Higgs boson, which people call 'the god particle' is what is theorized to give things their mass...

Or you could just write a book entitled "Statements that Actually Mean Nothing" and just write what you normally would here. I'm sure someone 20 years from now would buy a copy from you at yard sale for the missing leg of their couch.

I missed you too honey bunny.

The people who call it that tend to be journalists or writers of fiction, it doesn't mean anything. I actually have a pet peeve against that nickname. Lol.

There are all sorts of strange concepts of gods out there, but I never took the particle one seriously either. ;)

Here's an awful, awful joke:

A Higgs-Boson particle goes into a church and the preacher says, "Higgs-Boson's aren't allowed in here. You call yourself the God particle; that's sacrilegious! The Higgs-Boson particle says, "If you don't allow Higgs-Boson particles, how do you have mass?"

It's not really a concept of God either. Back in the '90s Leon Lederman (former director of Fermilab) wrote a popular physics book called The God Particle and the media latched onto this term as if it was at all official. If you read that book you'll see that's it's rather zany and this is just one of a number of goofy nicknames and things that are coined. If you happen to get the most recent edition of that book you'll see that Lederman basically regrets that title and doesn't approve of the now widespread use of that nickname (he even tries to blame his coauthor for the title decision, lol). Anyway, my point is that it is not a nickname used by particle physics and it is not a deep philosophical concept of anything, much less a concept of God. My belief is that they wanted an attention-grabbing title that exaggerates the importance of the Higgs. At the time the SSC was under construction but still on thin ice because many in congress wanted to cut the funding.
