Calm down. After an apparent bout of dyslexia I thought the clinic manager said the "chapel" as opposed to the clinic would remain a safe haven for women. Boy was I mightily confused.

Basically, the clinic is well aware that the diocese opening a chapel is an attempt to [i]shut them down[/i] as has happened in many other places when protesters have chased away would-be abortion clinic patients.

The clinic director is merely saying that women will still have access to her doors. She's not saying the clinic is safer than the chapel. She's saying that the clinic will continue to be, er, 'welcoming', despite its new neighbor.

Not all protest is the same. I don't know what they usually get in ND, but it might not be a prayer vigil. It might be people picketing and shouting rather than sidewalk counseling. Just sayin'. There's a reason clinics have escorts..... But yes, a chapel seems to be catering to prayerful vigils. I think it's good that the clinic owner sounds nervous

I'm not really sure how it is typically done in ND, either, because, thank God, that is literally the only abortion clinic in the state.
