Cherie
Maybe Harold Camping was right ... Seriously, though, prayers going out to all those affected by the bad weather lately! I can't even imagine what it's like to lose a house or family member in a terrible sudden storm, or having to prepare for the imminent loss of your house and belongings by flood water! It does seem like it's been a lot lately! Earthquakes ... storms ... floods ... just sayin' ...
let_go_let_God
I agree that a lot has been happening, but I'm not ready to say that God is planning the end of the world through this. Am I ready if he is? I'm trying. All I can do is pray and keep working here on earth. It's been a little nerve wracking for us though, we seem to be in a band in between the Iowa tornadoes and the Missouri tornadoes. God bless- LGLG
Don John of Austria
PLEASE TAKE SOME OF OUR WATER! Seriously. I live in North Dakota. We are supposed to be a dry, arid state. Instead, we are supposed to have flooding through at least the end of June and possibly till August...
I would love to take some of your water, in houston we are ina 100 year drought.
Don John of Austria
Not sure. Like I said, we are forecasted for rain for the next three weeks, and the ground is already saturated from the wettest May on record ever for my area. And all this rain feeds into the river which feeds the Missouri River which feeds into the Mississippi River. The south thinks they have flooding now? Just wait.
I would love some flooding.... I am watching trees 70 feet tall and trunks 5 feet across begining to wilt from lack of water. Its terrible. TeresaBenedicta
We've had rain non-stop for a year now in the NW. Granted, we're used to lots of rain, but it's been a particularly bad year. No floods yet. But the Columbia is already above normal waterlines. We'll be in a world of trouble if it heats up soon and the snowcaps melt from Mt. Hood. Of course, it could just stay cold and rainy all summer like last year, in which case there will only be minor flooding. Seriously though, prayers for the parts of the country really suffering right now. It's certainly been quite a lot lately. I wonder if anybody has done stats for the past 20 years with the number of major storms and deaths due to weather. It'd be interesting to see if it really is more lately, or if it just always seems that way.
rhetoricfemme
I don't think it's the end times or anything, but I don't doubt that perhaps God is sending down reminders to behave...

CatherineM
No tornadoes here, but we have been having fires. A medium sized town just north of us was completely wiped out. The evacuees are a couple of blocks north of us staying at the hockey arena/expo center. Our ladies group at church is collecting extra vestments and altar stuff for the church there. They may have to meet in a parking lot.
MissScripture
And the flood projections just keep getting higher... I will never live near a river!
