Debra Little
Surely you jest. We should be a little careful here. Rapture in itself is really bodily assumption in to heaven. At the end of time the Church believes that bodies and souls will be reunited and taken in to heaven. So rapture is okay though it is not a term the Church uses. What we are talking about really is pre-trib rapture. The Church says that those who are in the Church at the time will go through the tribulation. There is also post trib and mid trib rapture. This gets clouded up in millenialism as well.
I grew up in the Christian Reformed church and they hold an A-millenialism position. The term Rapture is not used in the Bible, though what you say is true. I choose not to bother my head with all this and instead trust God to take care of it.
