OnlySunshine
Thank you ma'am! I also prayed a novena to St. Jude at the same time...no holding back, double-barreled shotgun prayer. Been there. I did a lot of "rosary walks" and daily mass really helped especially when I'd get super agitated and down in the dumps. Staying busy is really important. Helps to be "monk like" -- structuring the day to feel "normal" and keep the mind off things when you're not making applications, doing lots of prayer and cleaning, kitchen and yard work, etc.
I'm going to try to get to daily Mass tomorrow. I really need to be alone with Jesus. I want to go to Adoration, too. Pray that I'm able to get up in time to get there.

I'm assigning all y'all to St. Joseph, a workin' man's workin' man, so he can work on it and get it worked out. But when you get the job - and you will get the job - you better work the job. Werd. Both mass and adoration will help quite a bit. Not having work blows chunks but it does bring the opportunity to immerse oneself in prayer. OnlySunshine
[i]Day 6 O good father Joseph! I beg you, by all your sufferings, sorrows and joys, to obtain for me what I ask. (Mention your intention(s) here....) Obtain for all those who have asked my prayers, everything that is useful to them in the plan of God. Be near to me in my last moments, that I may eternally sing the praises of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Amen. Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory Be... Memorare to St. Joseph Remember, O most illustrious Patriarch St. Joseph, on the testimony of St. Teresa, thy devoted servant, never hath it been heard that anyone who has invoked thy protection or sought thy mediation has not obtained relief. In this confidence I come before thee, my loving protector, chaste Spouse of Mary, foster-father of the Savior of men and dispenser of the treasures of His Sacred Heart. Despise not my earnest prayer but graciously hear and obtain my petition. Let us pray... O God, who by thy ineffable Providence did vouchsafe to choose blessed Joseph for the spouse of Thy most holy mother; grant we beseech Thee, that he whom we venerate as our protector on earth may be our intercessor in heaven. Amen. May the Divine Assistance remain with us always, and may the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. OnlySunshine
Well, today is the last day of the 9-day novena! I'm trying my best to believe that St. Joseph can help me find work. He's worked for others, so I hope he can help me. Today, I'm beginning the 30 day prayer to St. Joseph. http://www.ewtn.com/devotionals/prayers/thirtydayjoseph.htm
