OnlySunshine
I have been feeling like poo for most of the day and almost had to leave Mass because I felt so ill. Then I came home, and tried to eat something while watching a movie with my mom and I started feeling woozy. I had a terrible, splitting headache yesterday. My mom told me to take my blood pressure and it was a higher reading than normal. I chalked it up the fact that I took Aleve (naproxen sodium) less than 12 hours before for the headache. I rested and took a nap. Then, around 10pm, I took my BP again and it spiked even higher. The Aleve should have worn off by now, so I don't think that is what caused it. I think it's the Allegra I started taking a week ago. A few nights after I took it, I got nauseous and threw up. I thought, at the time, that it was stomach flu, but now I'm thinking I'm allergic to Allegra or it's causing wonky side effects. I have also been under stress the past few days. Please pray that my spiking blood pressure isn't permanent. The problem is that it runs in my family (mom AND dad) but I am still fairly young at 27. I am not taking anymore Allegra for at least a few days to see if the blood pressure reading goes back down. I'm keeping a close eye on it and plan to take it a few times every day. I also took some fish oil. Lord, I come to you for help. Life is full of trials and turmoil. Sometimes it gets the best of even the strongest of your people. You, Lord, are the one to turn to. I am in need of your guidance through this time. Lord, show me the way to obtain strength to combat the trials of life. I know your love is infinite. Because of your infinite love, peace can be obtained. With strength and peace I can face turmoil. With all that life has to offer, Allow me to see your will in all that I do. Help me with your peace to help others. Help me to see the good in everything around me. Help me to find and keep the peace that can be obtained from your love. With Jesus, I know I will gain strength. His life had trials and turmoil. Help me to learn from his sufferings. Thank you for sending Jesus to show us that unconditional love is possible. With Jesus as our guide, our greatest goals can be achieved. Amen.
