OnlySunshine
Seriously, join the club... I have been looking for one since I quit my last job in July. I didn't have a choice, there though. It was either quit or get fired and I didn't do what my supervisor said I did (I got in trouble thanks to backstabbing co-workers), so I resigned. I have been putting applications in left and right but have only had one interview and it was not what I thought it was.

CatherineM
I once took over 100 state merit tests, and was ranked number one for every one of those job openings. That meant if they held interviews, I had to be given one. I got one interview in 13 months, for the mail room at the state capital. Didn't get it. When they talk about that this job situation is the worse since X year, that was the year I was trying to find a job. Just try to stay positive and keep at it. Ash Wednesday
I hear you. I'm freelancing and doing contract work, which helps for the time being but it's a ride I want to get off of. Job hunting is....very unpleasant.

Luigi
Listen up, y'all. Mark today's date on your calendars and start countin'. I'm assigning all y'all to St. Joseph, a workin' man's workin' man, so he can work on it and get it worked out. But when you get the job - and you will get the job - you better work the job. Werd.
AccountDeleted
Me too - I need a job and went to an interview on Thursday so hopeful. I have been praying to St Joseph for weeks now, finished a novena but keep praying to him to intercede for me since he knows how hard it is to need work. I'm getting callbacks and interviews, something will give, my plan of attack is firmly in place. I'm stubborn as when I put my mind to something and am not going to quit! Era Might
It's all so depressing trying to find work. And it's not just hard to find work, it's hard to find MEANINGFUL work. I'm on the verge of despair myself. I cannot envision any job that is meaningful to me. There is "work" that is meaningful to me, but not in the context of a "job." It gives no hope that what I have to look forward to is a life as an office wage slave. What a great way to spend my life: jumping through hoops like a dog in a clown suit. And I haven't spent enough years jumping through hoops, so I'm not "qualified" for half the jobs. And the other half of the jobs are just mindless acts of mammon. Excuse my rant, but I hate being employed even more than I hate being unemployed, but being employed pays better. I need a job.
