OnlySunshine
St Elizabeth of the Visitation--most favorite saint! I love her because of her intense humility and faith. St. Elizabeth of Hungary--anytime a noble gives of themselves to the poor, they have my respect. She is so beautiful! St. Anne and St. Joachim--parents of Our Lady; very little is known about them, even their names are not agreed upon, but I took Anne as my confirmation saint since their feast day is on my birthday. St. Mary Magdelene de Pazzi--even though God gave her mystical visions, she was very humble and considered herself to be the lowest of God's people St. Gemma Galgani--she is absolutely charming in every way; I admire her for her life and it reminds me of Our Lady's St. Teresa of the Andes--sweet little Carmelite saint St. Veronica--the humble woman who wiped the face of Jesus even though the soldiers showed her contempt
I think I'm going to add: St. Genevieve--she was able to cast out demons from the possessed! St. Gertrude--loved the Sacred Heart and wrote about it, she is also the patron saint of nuns St. Monica--she is a very powerful prayer intercessor; I've prayed for her intercession before during temptations and she granted my prayer St. Rose of Lima--I can't believe I forgot her! I love little St. Rose.

Sarah147
I'm not hearing much on these boards about Saint Josemaria Escriva. I'm working on reading one of his books, and I've seen some video footage of his talks to crowds on EWTN. He seems to have a very good spirituality for how to live the Faith and become Saints in the ordinary world. I love that.
