Lil Red
my mom died almost 2 months ago. my uncle (my dad's sister's husband) died today. i guess in the back of my mind, i have always had the 'bad things happen in trios'. prayers requested for the repose of my uncle. i was not close to him at all, nor really my aunt, but prayers are needed. thank you. CatherineM
So sorry. My mom did the funeral dinners at our church for 35 years, and she always said that they came in threes. I told her that was just because she stopped counting at three and then started over again. People pass when it's their time. I hope that your family can have some peace after all this. Ash Wednesday
I don't know if it always happens in trios. But what I do know is that when you've just lost someone close to you, you get a lot of "scares" and are just more vigilant. I was afraid something would happen to my dad after mom died. My brother was also afraid he, himself, would die soon, too. Fortunately years later, neither has happened yet. Sometimes death just leaves you feeling more anxious about what will happen next. Prayers.
RezaMikhaeil
We heard this when Michael Jackson, Billy Mayes and farah fawcett died, the problem with this theory is that many more hollywood people died and it added up to many more then that. It's stupid, G-d calls our number when he decides. After staying awake for over 36hrs straight, I thought that G-d may have called my number in the form of a stroke but he didn't. Ed Normile
I am sorry for the loss of your family members, I will pray for them this evening. How are you handling it? The belief that people die in threes is of course superstition, and like any such belief there are times it will prove true. I lost my mother, her dad my grandfather and her brother my uncle within a few weeks. To make matters worse I lost several other family members in a three month period, I was actually depressed and did not realize it for a few months later, I looked for the worse to happen, I hardly felt like leaving bed, which is a bad thing when you are self employed. Loss of a loved one, even one you are not close to reminds us of our own mortality and can be a very depressing and stressful event, keep positive, look to the good memories you have of them and take care of yourself. Remember jesus promise in the beatitudes " Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." God bless you. ed

I don't see anything strange about it, and I'm not particularly expecting anyone else I know to die soon. If someone does, it still doesn't really mean anything. People go when it's their time. Mercy me
Prayers for you. For me it seems that bad news comes in threes but really I think it it is what I tell myself when I have had a spell of bad news.
