penguin31
How on EARTH do you cook pancakes on a skillet? Srsly. They either burn or undercook, and they *always* stick - making any burning worse. I've tried butter, oil, hot skillets, warm skillets, iron skillets, and even non-stick skillets (surprisingly, the pancakes still stuck). There's got to be something I'm missing here
ParadiseFound
i've never had a problem with cooking pancakes. Although I've only tried cooking the thin, crepe-style. I'm guessing you're talking about the thicker American-style ones?

Piccoli Fiori JMJ
+JMJ If your batter is thick and puffs up when cooking, you may need to spread the batter out when you pour it in the pan to thin it out or just add a little more milk to thin it out that way. My husband grew up with them and makes them all the time.

HopefulBride
I use butter but I put the stove on medium. You also want to make sure your pan/skillet is non-stick.
