The devil may wear Prada, but a Sicilian bishop has set out to show Satan does not have a stranglehold on designer clothing by ordering new vestments from Giorgio Armani.

I don't like it. It looks like a woman's nightgown.

I used to wear Armani. I do agree that beautiful vestments are a gift to God. Those vestments though, I wouldn't have made them.

Yeah... This is a bit of a disastrous high-end vestment. It looks like some of the things you can find in the dollar store. I would expect more from something so high-end. So, unless I'm mistaken and this is rare silk and pure spun gold for thread, this is ugly and very cheap looking. It's very 80/90s in appearance too. Blech.

The 'common wisdom' when it comes to more ample chasubles like this one is to focus on the drape of the material rather than the embroidery (kind of the opposite of the fiddleback). This Armani chasuble would look much better if its colour was richer, if they got rid of the extraneous embroidery (and with that which is left, had it done in a contrasting colour instead), and probably made the material somewhat heavier as well. It reminds me of pajamas.
