Glad you aren't too hurt!

Is the car hurt?

No seriously, cars cost a lot to repair and claims can send your premiums skyrocketing.

My sister got hit by a car & put a 6-inch dent in the hood.

Sorry, Hasan, but is it wrong that I immediately thought of this song?

Awww, man, now I feel bad! I saw the title for the thread and thought, "That Hassan, such a joker ~ he probably means that a car caught his attention or something harmless like that."

Since that's not what you meant, I am glad you are okay, and sorry to hear you were involved in a car accident. Is the bike okay?

Ack! Glad to hear you're okay. Did the driver get a ticket or anything?
No. I was going up a one way street. I don't know if that's legal or not. She was pulling out and not paying attention. As I saw it we both could have prevented the accident so I wasn't going to be an arse about it. I mean, I don't know what that would have done to her insurance even if she got a ticket for hitting someone. My bike was fine and my only injury was some raw skin and a minor gash on my leg. I was a little annoyed because I was lost all my momentum going up the hill. It knocked my bike out from under me and sent my flying to land adjacent to her passanger seat window. She looked scared as poo. So I just gave a (somewhat annoyed) "it's fine, whatever" wave and kept going.

As I see it the fear probably taught her what she needed to know about looking both ways and there wasn't any point to screwing her over with the police and insurance company.

Honestly I was a little relieved. I'm in my home town now. But at Chapel Hill the streets are even worse for people riding their bikes. The roads are so narrow. So I've had a lot of really close calls. I've been feeling like I can't keep getting lucky and I felt like this minor accident resent my 'tempting fate' meter

i had another guy try and merge across a few lanes and me and my motorcycle the other day, but i saw it coming and avoided it. when he saw me he panicked and didnt finish the turn and stayed going my way. dude didnt look worried or apologetic at all, if anything a little pissed that i made him "miss his exit". idiot. now i want riding gloves with ceramic knuckles so i can just break the dude's window with a little rap and keep going.

I've always wanted a 'gun' of some sort that would let me shoot either whipped cream or orange paint or something like that onto the car of a bad driver - I want to pull a trigger and have a paintball splat all over their back windshield saying, "Drives likes a numbskull - approach with caution." I just can't work out the details of how to make it happen.
