Amppax
That is definitely a great film, although i'd argue that watching Mr. Smith goes to Washington serves the same general purpose. Take politics out of Mr Smith, and you have It's a Wonderful Life. Frank Capra was a genius at making the same movie over and over again.
Luigi
Meh. It's alright, but it's no "Hook."

dominicansoul
i like SNL's version, where after the final singing of "Auld Lang Syne" uncle billy remembers what happened to the missing money, and the whole crowd goes over to the bank and beats the croutons outta Mr. Potter.. BG45
You know I never disliked Jimmy Stewart until I moved to this town. He was born here, so everything is about him. The traffic signals that tell us it's safe to walk across the street are an impersonator of his voice. There's a museum to him. Someone is made to re-enact his run through town from this film every Christmas at the parade.

Though there are positives to it; we were joking in one of my classes we needed to petition to have the impersonator do Arnold instead. "Cross the street now if you want to live", in place of "This is Jimmy Stewart, it's okay to cross the street right now, take yer time...". If you actually listen to the entire message it takes up the entire walk signal. LOL [/quote] I'm pretty sure the guy does it willingly! But I really do feel like I'm trapped by Jimmy Stewart lol. Oh, we also have a bronze statue of Jimmy Stewart in front of the courthouse. tinytherese
The last time my family and I watched the film, my mom pointed out how we see that Mr. Potter's name is Henry Potter and that a nickname for Henry is Harry. Whoa, Harry Potter! Prophecy! Also, two of George's friends are named Bert and Ernie.
