The typical member of the ordination class of 2011 is a 31-year cradle Catholic who prayed the Rosary and took part in Eucharistic adoration before entering seminary, according to a survey of 329 of the 480 men slated to be ordained to the priesthood in the United States this year. hahahaha this just reminded me. The director of vocations for my diocese has a buisness card, it reads: "Yes, you get to fight evil; no, you dont get to wear a cape." hahaha

interesting report. It mentioned the numbers of religious who responded to the survey (54 of the 329), but does anyone know the total percentage of incoming religious priests vs. secular priests for this year from the total of 480? I'm just wondering.

All glory to God for all of these vocations.
