ParadiseFound
Start praying now that their firstborn converts! (Or does it have to be a son? Not sure how that all works nowadays) Wouldn't that cause a sensation and just be pure amesome!!
If they converted they would have to give up their right to the throne. This is because the British monarch is the head of the Church of England. You wouldn't have a Jewish Pope, now would you?

Era Might
David Beckham was carrying a top hat, but I don't see any pictures of him actually wearing it lol. Probably didn't want to get caught on camera wearing a top hat.
rkwright
I saw some of it this morning before I went to work... some thoughts... First I thought the whole thing was pretty cool. Wedding days are a big deal, just the idea of having the wedding in a huge cathedral, with the men in uniforms, parades, etc. it seems to bring back ideas of duty, honor, chivilary, and all those things. Second, they had a fly over at their wedding. Wait not one, but TWO fly overs. Amazing. I asked my wife why we didn't do that. What were we thinking??? Wasn't a fan of the trees in the cathedral. I really hope they have a wonderful marriage and the british tabloids treat them with respect.

OnlySunshine
2. I wear hats all the time, vintage and not, in public places whether in church or not. I like them. I thought most of the hats were perfectly appropriate. The only one that had me going was Princess Beatrice:
How did she keep that thing on her head? Super glue? A thousand bobby pins? It looks ridiculous... Edited April 29, 2011 by MaterMisericordiae
I ended up watching. My friend invited me round for a bank holiday brunch. How could I resist? I felt pretty cynical nonetheless, tbh, but the whole spectacle finally hooked me and pulled me in. I especially liked the scenes at the end, with the vast crowd of people walking peaceably and calmly down the Mall, flags waving and all grinning and happy-looking, once the wedding was done. My friend and I have decided to go to the Abbey tomorrow to see the trees. They were cool. Anyway. I repeat my wish that they have a long and happy marriage. That's what really matters. (And isn't Camilla still Catholic? The Duchess of Kent is, but I don't know if she was there...)
